Spudz

The major reason for visiting a large exhibition such as Photokina isn’t the huge brand booths showing products you have read everything about on the internet and can find in most shops, it is to find the little things, see exotic products in the flesh and spot innovation before it becomes mainstream.

One of my favourite discoveries for example, is the line of Spudz lens cloths. In a diabolically clever fashion, they fold back in a little elasticated pouch which can hang safely away from dust on your belt, camera case or bag yet be pulled to action in seconds. Some are cleverly printed as 18% grey to double up as white balance references when needed.

For some reason, despite their tremendous usefulness, they are not very common but a quick search on the internet will yield the distributor closest to you. Or you can check Amazon..

There’s always one on my belt.
